Message from Michell: Update on the MGT strategic plan for 2016-20
Colleagues,
This month, I want to update you on the Management Division’s 2016-20 strategic plan. The plan is now nearly final, and we recently held two work sessions—one with the officers and one with managers and senior managers—to build a shared understanding and commitment around our refreshed and simplified mission, vision, and values; and our divisional goals and objectives for the next five years.
At these sessions, our leaders participated in very productive discussions on how to implement the plan, how the plan will affect their branches and teams, and what is needed to ensure that we succeed. Many of them have volunteered to serve on workgroups that will develop and refine the strategies required to meet our objectives over the 2016-20 period.
We are building this plan on the foundation of excellent customer service we’ve been creating over the past several years. The plan will help us align our teams and sharpen our focus on the most important services and expertise we provide in support of the Board’s mission. We’re simplifying and evolving; we are not making a radical change of direction.
Next month we will meet with Facilities and LEU supervisors. We’re rolling out the plan with a phased approach and incorporating input as we go along so that teams at every level of the division have adequate time to talk through the plan and fully consider their own role in its execution. I am very encouraged by the enthusiasm I have seen so far, and I think we have the momentum that is crucial to success.
You will have opportunities to participate in the coming months as we continue to roll out the plan. In the meantime, I have asked the officers and managers to share updates with their teams. Please feel free to ask your manager for details.
Make it a GREAT Day!!!
Michell Clark
