What exactly do you do?
Ha! Isn’t that the million dollar question? I’m a generalist by trade so I do a little bit of everything. I like to explain it as an internal consultant who consults with clients to help ensure their needs are met by working with the centers of excellence to bring them solutions. On good days, I’m able to anticipate their needs and provide solutions before they even have to ask.

Who do you report to?
Jeff Martin, assistant director

Where were you born?
Born in Baltimore, MD. Grew up in Columbia, MD

How many siblings do you have?
7! Ranging in age from 16 – 42 and I am the second oldest.

Favorite (and/or dream) vacation spot
Favorite is Egypt. Dream is Bora Bora or Tahiti (just get me to the French Polynesia).

Favorite restaurant for lunch
Anywhere that serves food.

Favorite type of food
It would be easier to list my least favorite because I love anything edible. Total foodie! Least favorite is anchovies I guess. But I’d probably still eat those if they were cooked right.

Team you root for
Baltimore Ravens all day baby! Although I’m a little worried about the 2015 season with all the roster changes so it might be a whisper, but I’ll still be rooting for them.

Favorite band/musical artist
It has changed over the years. I used to be fanatical for an artist who shall remain nameless. But right now as I’ve matured, so has my taste so I’d probably have to say Kem, who is a very smooth R&B artist.

Favorite song
Too many to name! I guess that’s why I’m a generalist by trade, I love everything! It’s hard to pin me down to any one thing whether it’s related to food, music or even my career.

Hobby
Traveling and fine dining (really any dining).

Personal goal you want to reach in the next year
To have people in my client groups refer to me as Gina and not “HR”. If they refer to me by name, that means I’ve made an impact and left an impression.

Interesting thing about you or a family member
Eek … can’t think of anything. I’m so boring and I guess my family is too.

Favorite quote
"Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude." - Zig Ziglar. It’s engraved on the back of my iPad.

Favorite or unique part of your job
Helping employees at all levels find solutions.

Recent example of legendary service you have witnessed
First let me say all of the MGT engagement champions have been amazing. But I do have to recognize Joi Randall, an intern in OD&L, for her legendary service. She wasn’t even an engagement champion, but I recruited her for the extra help and she has really gone above and beyond especially in assisting with the MGT engagement sessions. She has been two steps ahead of us at all times from the room configuration to coaching us on how to facilitate the sessions. She also didn’t bat an eye at helping to co-facilitate an 8:00 a.m. session even though it required her to leave her house before 6:00 a.m. to get in on time due to inclement weather. She even volunteered to do it again if necessary. Thank you Joi!

Recent example of poor legendary service you have witnessed
No need to even give it any more energy. Focusing on the positive is always the way to go!

Employee (from another section within the division) you think should be profiled next
