These employees started working in the MGT Division in August.
Name: Liz Frey
Title: Executive Recruiter
Reports to: Jeff Martin
What do you do: Liz has been hired to focus on officer and other senior level recruitment for the Board. As a member of the talent acquisition team, she will connect ongoing succession planning and targeted development activity across the Board to external searches for selected roles. Liz will participate in ongoing efforts to create a Boardwide recruiting strategy, branding, process improvement and metrics.
Learn more: Liz most recently worked at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), where she was the Associate Director of Talent Acquisition and Mobility. Previous to joining FINRA, she worked in various industries to include Northrop Grumman, L-3 Communications, Toys “R” Us, and McKinsey and Company.
Liz holds a master’s degree in organizational psychology from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Seton Hall University. She enjoys adventure travel and relocated to Leesburg, Virginia, in 2005 from New Jersey where she and her partner, Paul, currently reside.
Name: Dwayne M. Shaw
Title: Information Systems Specialist
Reports to: Fran Horne
What do you do: Dwayne maintains the security and system administration of the financial technology application (Oracle E-Business Suite) and provides back-up support for the PeopleSoft, MicroStrategy, and OBIEE applications.
Learn more: Dwayne was born and raised in the Bedford Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn, NY and has a bachelor's degree in Information and a master's degree in Business Administration in Finance and Management Information Systems from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a first generation American, with parents from Kingston, Jamaica and he works out often (tries to at least 4 times a week), just to stay healthy.
He has recently finished consulting engagements at the National Gallery of Art and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
Name: Adam Staveski
Title: Student Intern
Reports to: Tim Markey
What do you do: Adam's role is to support the Internal Communications team by writing articles for ItB, filming and editing small video projects, and updating ItB webpages and search.
Learn more: Adam was born and raised in Rochester, New York, but currently goes to school at American University. He is an avid runner, trekking an average of 10 miles per day, every day, for the entire year. He is looking forward to running his first-ever marathon in late October.
This is actually his second stint as the Internal Communications intern, with his first stretch lasting from May 2014-May 2015.
Name: Carolette Sweatt
Title: Staff Assistant
Reports to: Jeff Windsor
What do you do: Carolette's role is to to handle accounts payable data entries. She is the first point of entry for any Board invoices. She is also developing skills to assist with non-Board travel and invoice inquiries.
Learn more: Carolette, a native born and raised in Washington, D.C., has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Trinity University and has a 14-year-old special needs son named Chance.
