Director’s Award for Excellence
The Management Division’s annual Director’s Award for Excellence recognizes an individual employee, a departmental team, or a section/unit who consistently performed at a high level, provided legendary customer service, and helped the division accomplish its stated objectives during the past year.
Honorees receive a framed certificate and a cash award. In addition, a plaque with the names of all honorees is displayed in the reception area near the division director’s office.
Nomination and Selection Process
- Nominations can be made by colleagues, management, customers/clients, and/or by the team.
- Written nominations should be submitted for this annual award to Deidre Grant and should include: (1) the name(s) of individuals/team members; (2) short narrative statement of the individual's/team's contribution.
Criteria
Nominees should consistently demonstrate legendary customer service and the Management Division’s shared values. The following criteria should also be considered:
- Consistency and Quality: Improves the quality or delivery of service provided, consistently responds to customer requirements in a timely and courteous manner, and performs the job correctly.
- Problem Solving and Innovation: Solves customer service problems/concerns quickly and develops new ways of doing business that benefit our customers/clients.
- Initiative and Accountability: Consistently demonstrates initiative and accountability that benefits the Management Division's customers/clients and provides subject matter expertise.
Announcement
The awards are presented by the division director at the annual division holiday party. Honorees are not announced ahead of time. Afterwards, an article highlighting the honorees will be posted on the division website.
